The paintings recognisably belong to a realistic landscape genre but like any painting they construct ways of seeing.
All are closeups showing fragments of a much more expansive picture. Colours are changed or enhanced, elements added or deleted.
Earlier work depicts cold climate gardens in the Blue Mountains. The more recent beachscapes explore the Port Macquarie coastline and its distinctive rock formations.
